FAQ
The Rimm Assessment recommends a set of Topics and Questions that are developed to identify the most significant and commonly disclosed sustainability topics for companies. These KPIs are moderately customized to accommodate the different sustainability impacts that different sectors will have.
The questions are based on four criteria:
1) Commonly disclosed by industry peers;
2) Alignment with international standards/frameworks, e.g. GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.;
3) Can be benchmarked against our database;
4) In accordance with in-house subject matter on the pertinence and/or significance to SMEs.
Each question has to fulfill at least two criteria.
Rimm’s SDGs Impact Tracker aims to help companies measure and disclose their impact on the 17 SDG Goals and 169 SDG Targets. It identifies the SDGs most relevant to the company based on the industry’s leading materiality factors and quantifies the impact by scoring the company’s performance on both Goal and Target levels to encourage better impact management and performance.
Rimm maps every indicator of a company’s sustainability performance against the SDGs, resulting in a score between 0 and 1 for each SDG Goal and Target. A higher score indicates a better performance.
Depending on the myCSO plan you are using, you can only complete an assessment based on the framework developed by Rimm.
If you wish to incorporate a specific framework, please contact us to discuss the specific questions required and for general assistance.
In myCSO, none of the Standards on our platform are mandatory.
However, depending on the plan of myCSO that you’re using, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) based on industry materiality are pre-selected for assessment.
The Rimm Score reflects the user’s performance on the material questions from the Assessment, combining both relative and absolute performance. The Rimm Score is an equally weighted average of individual question scores, and each question is scored depending on its type. We use the concept of ‘polarity’ to score answers, depending on whether a lower or higher value indicates a better performance.
